As of mid-February 2026, 51 cattle producers across the prairies have faced extraordinary costs due to bovine tuberculosis (bTB) investigations.

As part of our advocacy for these producers, on February 19, 2026, Alberta Beef Producers (ABP), Saskatchewan Cattle Association (SCA), Manitoba Beef Producers (MBP), and Canadian Cattle Association (CCA) formally requested Agri-Recovery activation.
