The uptake of young producer programs could be enhanced with AFSC changes to the next generation young producer loan and young producer incentive.
Be it Resolved
ABP Lobby the Provincial Government to increase the age limit to 45 years of age or to new ag purchasers regardless of age and lengthen the loan term incentive to 10 years while increasing the maximum borrowing limits to 2 million per individual.

AFSC updated Next Generation Loan in 2024.
The revamped Next Gen program will now offer several new benefits:
- Expanded Eligibility
- Increased Loan Limits
- Lower Ownership Requirements
- Extended Interest-Only Payments
