Advocating to lift BSE requirements

Whereas

  • There has been virtually zero loss of human life since the late 1980’s early 1990’s due to the supposed transmission of deformed prions through the consumption of meats and meat by-products of animals afflicted by BSE.
  • SRM requirements of slaughtered animals presently in effect in Canada cost in excess of $50.00 per head.
  • Canada and the cattle industry base its research and all associated technology on facts-based science.

Be it Resolved

That Canada advocate for the removal of all present restrictions and reporting requirements currently in effect due to BSE.
