Managing the impacts of increasing elk populations

Whereas
Due to the growing elk population in Alberta causing significant damage to crops, feed yards, pastures and fence lines; the current practice of one year of damages paid for feed lost in yards; after the first year, the government will only pay to help fence off yards. This only moves the elk to other feed yards, pastures, fields.
Be it Resolved
That ABP work with government to manage the impact on the industry, landowner and rural communities from the increase of the elk population in the province.
