Karen Shaw

Karen Shaw is a dedicated Canadian beef producer and passionate advocate for the agricultural community. Together with her husband, Stuart, she operates a cow/calf operation on their family farm, proudly established in 1903. Deeply rooted in generations of farming, Karen brings both lived experience and a forward-looking perspective to the beef industry.

Karen is committed to supporting the sustainability and growth of Canada’s beef sector, with a particular focus on retaining and attracting producers while addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the industry today. She believes Canada produces the best beef in the world and that the industry has a powerful story to share.

With 14 years of experience as a municipal councillor, Karen has developed extensive expertise in public and stakeholder engagement. She understands that meaningful engagement begins with listening and is built on strong, respectful relationships. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, trust, and clear communication.
